Executive Director 

 Cierra Cobb is the Executive Director and Paralegal of I Kare NC, bringing over five years of nonprofit experience and a deep passion for justice. A survivor of domestic violence, she has dedicated her work to advocating for incarcerated individuals and supporting their families. With a paralegal certificate from Western Carolina University and currently pursuing a Criminal Justice degree at Southern New Hampshire University, Cierra combines legal knowledge, lived experience, and advocacy to lead I Kare NC’s mission of breaking cycles of trauma and incarceration. 

Program Director

 Cindy Tate-Gibson is Program Director at I Kare NC and a board-certified music therapist (since 2005). She has served in public schools, higher education, and music schools, and currently teaches at Appalachian State University and Caldwell Community College & Technical Institute while maintaining a private practice focused on neurodivergent clients. With graduate training in body-centered music therapy from Appalachian State, Cindy is a committed advocate for incarcerated individuals and disability rights. Her work centers on creating diversion, support, and education initiatives for autistic and other disabled people involved in the justice system. 

Mentorship- Volunteer Director

  Dorothy brings both heart and strategy to I Kare NC in her role as Mentorship Director. As a graduate student at UNC Greensboro studying Sociology with a focus in Criminology, she blends academic insight with real-world compassion to support youth impacted by the justice system. Her leadership helps shape mentorship spaces that are trauma-informed, youth-centered, and rooted in dignity and healing.


Originally from Dallas, Texas, Dorothy is deeply committed to reshaping the justice system so that it prioritizes people over punishment. She aspires to become a prosecutor who measures success by community uplift, not conviction rates an outlook that directly informs how she designs and guides I Kare NC’s mentorship work. Dorothy leads with a non-judgmental, steady presence, ensuring young people feel seen, heard, and supported while also pushing for meaningful, systemic change that extends beyond any single program.

Conflict Resolution Training Director

  

  Amadio brings eight years of experiential learning design to I Kare NC. Specializing in conflict resolution, collaboration, and team dynamics across environments as diverse as faculty workshops for MIT and Duke, to working-class warehouse settings where engaging learning experiences are rarely prioritized. He believes training shouldn’t be boring or disconnected for anyone, regardless of age or social status, and designs programs that meet people wherever they are in life. He is also a film director and producer with 7 years of experience crafting stories that explore the depth of human behavior, and he’s had the privilege of guest lecturing for the graduate acting program at UNC Chapel Hill and the Behavioral Science program at NCCU. Originally from Durham, North Carolina, Amadio wakes up every morning excited to find new ways to make the world a better place for every human being.
