Conflict Resolution Training
Every Tuesday at RYDC
I Kare NC will deliver hands-on conflict resolution training, mentorship, and reentry supports to help youth strengthen communication, reduce harm, and plan for success after release or transfer. Big thanks to the RYDC team for opening the door to a healing-centered approach that puts skills and support first.
Peace NC DAC Autism Training
I Kare NC is excited to announce our Peace Autism Training in partnership with the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction (NC DAC) and the Autism Society of North Carolina. Taking place on October 8, this groundbreaking training will equip staff and community partners with tools to better understand and support justice-involved individuals on the autism spectrum.
The session will focus on:
- Building awareness of autism and neurodiversity in justice settings
- Practical strategies for de-escalation and communication
- Promoting safer, more inclusive environments for youth and adults
By bringing together state agencies, advocates, and experts, this training marks a critical step toward ensuring that justice systems in North Carolina recognize and respond to the unique needs of autistic individuals with dignity and care.
